December Meeting
The focus of our December meeting will be a presentation by Johannes Dorfinger who coordinates the work at the Austrian OLPC pilot project at University of Teacher Education Styria. He will present the findings after using 25 XOs for a year, talk about the challenges encountered and discuss some lessons learned along the way.
Additionally an XO-1.5 pre-production model will be presented at the event!

November Meeting
The highlight of our November meeting will be a presentation by Tanja Kohn who is writing her Doctoral Thesis on "Knowledge Transfer with e-Learning Technologies". In both 2008 and 2009 she spent several weeks in Peru observing the OLPC project there and she will offer insights into how the project is going, what its main challenges are and what is has accomplished to date.

The second part of the previously mentioned article mini-series with my impressions from visiting two schools using XOs in grades 2, 3 and 6 in the Kathmandu Valley back in July.Next Meeting on October 3
Our first meeting after the summer break will take place on October 3 at 3PM. I'll give a presentation about my experiences here in Nepal and we'll also generally discuss what's going on with OLPC and Sugar Labs these days. So I'm sure it will be an interesting meeting and I hope to see you there (Museumsquartier Quartier 21, Raum D)!
